It's just me and a garage.

Hi, I'm Scott - the one-man operation behind Trucker Hat Co. No warehouse. No team.  Just me, a few embroidery machines, and a garage that's too cold in winter and too hot in summer.

I have worked in design and embroidery for over 20 years. Two years ago, after losing my hair to alopecia, I started making hats - at first just for myself. Then friends asked me where I got them. Then friends of friends. I put a few online to see what would happen, and here we are.

What I make

I've always been drawn to American culture - the movies, the food, country and western music, dive bars. Things with a bit of history to them.

The hats are small nods to that world: movie and music references, some obvious, some incredibly niche. Each one is stitched by me, one at a time. No artificial distressing. No mass-produced designs. Just a hat made with care, by hand, in a garage.
