Welcome to TruckerHat.co — It’s Just Me and a Garage

Not a Lifestyle Brand (And That’s the Point)

Let’s get this out of the way: this is not a slick, venture-capital-funded lifestyle brand. There’s no warehouse, no interns, no marketing team brainstorming synergy in a conference room.

It’s just me—Scott—in my garage, with a few embroidery machines and a slightly unhealthy obsession with Americana.

I’ve spent over 20 years in the design and embroidery world—long enough to know the difference between quality and noise. And a few years ago, after losing my hair to alopecia, I started making hats. Mostly for myself, at first. Something to feel human in.

People started noticing. Friends asked for one. Strangers messaged me. I put a few up on Etsy and eBay to see what would happen. Turns out, there’s a lot of love out there for simple, well-made trucker hats with a bit of bite.

What I Make (And Why)

I’ve always been drawn to the rough edges of American culture—dusty highways, defunct gas stations, neon motel signs buzzing in the night. Country & western music, dive bars, outlaw energy. All the good stuff.

The hats I make are little tributes to all that:
Imaginary trucking companies. Forgotten roadhouses. Movies that should’ve been drive-in-only releases.

I try to keep it honest. No fake distressing. No cookie-cutter designs pulled from a spreadsheet. Each one’s stitched by me, one at a time, in a garage that definitely isn’t climate-controlled.

The Website

This site is the official home of my little hat empire. It’s got everything I currently make. No middlemen. No pop-ups asking how your shopping experience is going.

If you’re the kind of person who still has a favourite roadside diner or knows what the inside of a VFW hall smells like, you might find something here worth wearing.

You can check out my Etsy reviews if you want to see what real people are saying—spoiler: they’re kind.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by. There’s coffee in the pot and thread on the floor.

Let’s see where this goes.
